Open Enrollment dates for 2027 coverage
The annual Marketplace enrollment period for 2027 coverage runs from November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. Florida and Texas use the federal Marketplace, HealthCare.gov.
For your coverage to start on January 1 you normally must choose your plan before the December deadline set by the Marketplace. Always confirm the current date on HealthCare.gov or with an advisor.

- Enroll in a plan if you don't have Marketplace coverage.
- Renew or change the plan you already have.
- Update your income, household and dependents information.
- Check whether you qualify for help with the cost of the premium.
What to prepare before November 1
- ZIP code and age of each person you want to cover.
- An estimate of your household's annual income for 2027.
- Details of your current insurance and any insurance your employer offers.
- List of your doctors, clinics and medications, to verify the plan's network.
- Identity or immigration documents for those applying for coverage.
If you already have a plan
Many plans renew automatically, but it's worth comparing every year. Premiums, medical networks, drug lists and available help can change, and so can your income or household.
Reviewing your plan on time avoids surprises in your monthly payment and your doctor network.
If you miss the date
Outside Open Enrollment you can normally only enroll if you have a Special Enrollment Period due to a qualifying life event, such as losing other coverage, moving or having a baby. Medicaid and CHIP can be applied for year-round if you meet the income requirements.
